If you know someone who is self-harming, but not in a suicidal or mental-health crisis, they can text HOME to 741741 to be connected to a Crisis Counselor at the Crisis Text Line. The Crisis Counselor will help strategize healthy coping mechanisms to manage thier emotions.

Adolescent Behavioral Health at Tacoma General offers care and treatment to teens facing a range of behavioral health issues, including:
Major depression
Anxiety disorders
Psychosis
Schizophrenia
Bipolar disorder
They accept patients ages 13 through 17 for voluntary, involuntary and family-initiated treatment.

MHA uses a racial equity and intersectional lens to highlight, better understand, and effectively respond to the range of experiences held by individuals and families with diverse values, beliefs, and sexual orientations, in addition to backgrounds that vary by race, ethnicity, religion, and language.

Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) from Kid's Mental health Pierce County
The KMHPC MDT is a community-based, family-focused multidisciplinary team of community stakeholders, providers, and advocates who aim to assist providers and families with complex behavioral health presentations, care coordination and case planning. The MDT can assist with tasks such as: outpatient service recommendations, care coordination needs, behavioral management strategies, safety planning strategies, transitional planning, discharge planning and family engagement strategies for youth and families who reside in Pierce County.
The Child Mind institute on YouTube
The Child Mind institute covers multiple topics on their YouTube channel from anxiety and eating disorders to behavior challenges and screen time. They also have a series called 'Nixie and Nimbo' an animated mini-series that explores tools children can use to control their anxiety rather than letting it control them.

Each AACAP Resource Center contains consumer-friendly definitions, answers to frequently asked questions, clinical resources, expert videos, and abstracts from the JAACAP, Scientific Proceedings and Facts for Families relevant to each disorder.

Behavior Bridges
This program aims to provide various social groups intended for ages 8 through adulthood (or otherwise approved by the county) and preventative behavior crisis training for families of any age to further provide access to services for our community. In partnership with additional local agencies, hospitals, and school districts, Behavior Bridges continues to strive to be a model for best practices.
SafetyCare for Families
SafetyCare for Families is a training program for family members who support children, adolescents, or adults who may exhibit challenging behavior. The focus in Safety-Care is on prevention, safety, and humane, supportive, evidence-based interventions. Participants will ONLY learn preventative measures to avoid crisis or manage crisis behaviors safely until emergency responders can arrive.
